Cool patterned, textured pants are essential to our everyday outfits, especially in the summer. The summer heat makes it impossible for us to be as extra as we want in terms of layering our clothing, so adding a bold pair of pants in the equation makes each of our outfits standout more, without necessarily over doing it. And since the pants already stand out, adding the smallest details, whether it is an oversized white t-shirt, crop top, bustier, or lightweight cropped sweater brings forth balance and overall pulls the outfit together.
Christina: I try to limit my spending at Forever21 because my wardrobe sort of gets diluted with their merchandise, and well, everyone shops their and I hate walking to class seeing someone with the same clothes as me. But it's sooo convenient, so I'm stuck in between a rock and a hard place. I got so lucky when I found these. I was initially looking for an outfit to wear to my friend's graduation, but I didn't really want to wear a dress or a skirt, so I was pretty much on a search for the most perfect pair of pants. Not only were they only $12, but they fit me so bomb in all of the right places and flare out at the bottom. Since I was going for more of a chill look, I decided to pair the pants with a cropped sweatshirt and my fur slides.
Christal: My pants was the end result of a final project I did for my pattern making class last semester. I actually made the culotte style pattern from scratch then later on sewn it out of Taffeta silk that was only $3 per yard. But anyone can go to their local Walmart or craft store to pick up a beginners pants pattern and create your own style of pants. You can save money and whatever you make will be one of a kind, making your outfit more interesting.
